How to use lavender essential oil
Lavender Oil (Lavendula augustifolia)
Botanical Family: Lamiaceae or Labiatae (mint)
Origin: Utah, Idaho, France, Bulgaria
Extraction Method: Steam distillation of flowering tops and stems.
It comes in especially handy for treating sunburn, bruises, cuts and scrapes, hair loss, insomnia, depression and high blood pressure.
Using this oil undiluted is terrific IF IT IS TRUE THERAPEUTIC GRADE. Notice the difference in the pictures between the subtle colour of the Lavender grown on an organic farm for therapeutic purposes (left), and the vibrant purple of the Lavendin hybrid variety, grown for its popular use in the perfume industry (right).
More properties and uses:
Application: Apply a few drops neat, on location. Directly inhale or use in the diffuser before sleep. Excellent in bath salts recipe, Lavender Lemonade or Lavender cookies.

How to use lavender oil for face
While doing your morning routine make sure you rinse your face with a Lavender spritz – TO IMPROVE ACNE – To 2oz of distilled water add ten drops of Lavender and spritz on a cotton ball. Great refresher for oily skin, morning and night.
