In this article, I will share with you how I am losing weight with essential oils and Young Living products. (I lost 13 pounds the first month! Before and after). Summer is a great time for weight management, and getting into my forties it’s even more important to stay healthy and keep it off. Work pro-actively now, so you don’t get caught with your pants down (actually they may not get up over the hips, to begin with) ten years from now. I’ll recommend the products that are really helping me.

Not being a fan of diets AT ALL I was not able to settle on a form of weight loss. But I wanted to lose weight badly. This was affecting my whole personality.

Then one of my best friends visited in June, who I had not seen in three months, and I hardly recognized her. She had lost over twenty pounds in those months with a well-known diet by Dr. Simeons and injections with human growth hormone or hGH. The injection part really threw me off and I wondered if such things are legal but after researching learned it is done regularly and is relatively safe if not overused and prolonged.

Here are the key elements to naturally stimulating hGH
The Liver: This organ is responsible for converting hGH into IGF-1. It is Insulin-like growth factor that produces all the positive changes in the body like improved fat distribution, better eyesight, and weight loss.

I’ll describe my daily program. The supplements and essential oils are very important and have made the biggest difference physically and mentally. If I had to pick just one product that set the weight loss in motion it was Thyromin® for me.

I started using the Ultra Young spray two weeks into the program and am seeing a big difference in muscle definition.

The Prenolone is definitely balancing out hormonal issues, such as cramps and mood swings. I have not exercised a lot other than the occasional hike and much more stretching and yoga.

Daily Food Regimen: It is very low calorie and only recommended for 23-40 days. Eating less food stimulates the pituitary to make more HGH. Personally, I have added 250-500 calories to Dr. Simeons plan because I am not doing daily hGH injections. I figured my plan would be a little slower and eating only 500 calories a day would be quite unhealthy without the injections.
I eat more fruit in the morning, take the occasional handful of healthy nuts, and have a slightly bigger piece of meat or fish. I also do not forgo one or two glasses of wine a week. Just choose the right night for them. I mean, why can’t losing weight be fun, right?

Daily Food Regimen

Breakfast: Tea with a teaspoon of Agave Syrup and one to two drops of Frankincense or Lemon essential oil. Small piece of fruit – apple, a handful of strawberries, blueberries, orange, 1/2 grapefruit.

Lunch: 100 – 150 grams of veal, beef, chicken, white fish, lobster, crab or shrimp. Prepared without fat. Broiling with a few spices on it works great. Choose one veggie – spinach, chard, chicory, beet greens, salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, cucumber, asparagus, cabbage. Prepare without any fat or dressings. Again, I love putting them on the grill or under the broiler. Change things around with spices. One Italian breadstick (the hard ones you use with soups)

Dinner: Same three choices. You could prepare a soup with a lot of the veggies and add a bouillon cube for flavour.

Snack: You could eat the above two breadsticks for a snack when you’re hungry. Use the juice of one lemon to flavour your water. Drink lots of water.

Essential Oils for weight loss



These are the essential oils and supplements I use every day:

  • Sandalwood
  • Frankincense
  • Myrrh
  • Lavender
  • 1 ounce Ningxia Red juice
  • 1 Thyromin
  • 1 tbsp. JuvaPower
  • 3 x day UltraYoung oral spray
  • 1tsp. Alkaline in a glass of water at bedtime
  • 6 Sulfurzyme
  • 1/4 tsp. Prenolone+ cream

Other supportive essential oils: Myrtle, peppermint, Dragon Time, 3 Wise Men. I use the high sesquiterpene oils behind my ears and at the base of my neck for fast absorption.

  • I use supportive essential oils on the bottom of my feet, stimulating the bottom of the big toe with reflexology (brain function).
  • I use lavender in the ultrasonic diffuser for two hours at bedtime for deep sleep. I started this program because I wanted to do something different and prove how well essential oils work with the system.

I had no idea I would feel this fantastic a month later and receive great comments from people on how good my skin looks, have I done something different to my hair? And my energy has tripled.
I am slowly adding more food items but still extremely careful with flour and pastas. Next is improving the amount of exercise I do. I’ll keep you updated on the progress!

So I found a bottle of Birch (Betula lenta) oil for $5.95 on the shelf. At this time, according to Young Living, there is no sustainable supply of therapeutic grade birch bark available, in the world! They are searching hard.

That has to make you wonder: what is in that $5.95 bottle? Could it be a high-grade therapeutic birch oil? Hmmmmm. Are you still going to apply it to your skin undiluted?

Birch is an incredible anti-inflammatory essential oil, the natural form of aspirin. To test things out I applied a drop of the cheap oil to my wrist and compared it to a drop of therapeutic grade birch oil I still keep tucked away in my supply.

There was a huge difference. The cheaper birch turned my skin slightly pink and gave a stronger tingling sensation. After several minutes the fragrance changed considerably and I was left with smelling something like camphor and spearmint.

  • The real birch was gentler on the skin and the fragrance faded but still smelled like birch after several minutes.
  • So always ask these questions before you buy your oils at the health food store and start applying them to the body.
  • Do the oils “feel” natural with a subtle fragrance that is rich and delicate?
  • Does the fragrance of the oil change from bottle to bottle?
  • Does the supplier send each batch of oils through at least five different quality analyses before distribution?
  • Are the tests performed by independent labs?
  • Are the distillation facilities on-site?
  • Does the supplier use low pressure and low temperature to distil the oils?
  • Are the distillation cookers made from stainless steel?
  • Does the supplier send representatives to inspect the farm and distilleries?
  • Do representatives ensure that no synthetic chemicals are used in any of the cultivation, harvesting, and distillation processes?
